For more 17 years, while employed as President and CEO of Cofiroute USA, Gary Hausdorfer continued his consulting services to selected clients including California State University at Fullerton and several private trusts and boards of directors. Gary has a unique background which includes executive experience in both the public and private sectors. While serving as Mayor and Member of the City of San Juan Capistrano City Council for 16 years, Gary was also holding a senior executive position with a Fortune 500 Company. During his tenure in public office he also served as Chairman and founding board member of Orange County Transportation Authority and was a founding member of the Transportation Corridor Agencies (TCA) helping create the first new system of toll roads to be built in California in 50 years. As the former President and CEO of Cofiroute USA, Gary has more than 20 years of experience in the financing, development and operations of all electronic tolled express lanes.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the private sector and public policy Gary Hausdorfer has been recognized by the League of California Cities, the Orange County Board of Supervisors, State of California, the United States Congress and President Clinton. Gary was also one of the first Americans to be awarded the prestigious Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Award by President George H W Bush. He has been a guest lecturer at University of California at Irvine, California State University at Fullerton and Chapmen University. He is currently a member of the President’s Roundtable at Cal Stare Fullerton.
